Resources for Academic Institutions


Are you a High School, College, or University looking to deliver basketball-specific NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) modules as part of an academic course? Refer to the list below for details on how to do so!

 

1. COURSE SYLLABUS

The course syllabus should include the following:

  • Course name
  • Course code
  • Brief description of the course and its learning objectives
  • Course calendar - include specific dates of when NCCP content is covered
  • Explanation on how the micro-coaching with age-appropriate athletes is integrated for students

 

2. NCCP CONTENT DELIVERY (2 OPTIONS)

A trained or certified LF (Learning Facilitator) must deliver the NCCP content. Select one of the following options:

  • OPTION 1Indicate the name and NCCP# of the LF delivering the content. To request an LF, contact your P/TSO.
  • OPTION 2Have a member of your academic institution trained as an LF.

3. FEE COLLECTION

  • Contact your P/TSO to determine course fees
  • Indicate how these fees are collected from students enrolled in the course

 

4. GAME PLAN

*Details 1-4 must be sent to Canada Basketball 1 MONTH PRIOR to the course start date and should be submitted each time the course is being run.*
